DowntimeLens Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of DowntimeLens (“Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Effective date: October 13, 2025

1. The Service

DowntimeLens helps you understand why services go down—monitoring uptime, network reliability, and connection failures (DNS/TCP/TLS) with clear insights instead of noisy alerts.

2. Accounts & Eligibility

  • Provide accurate registration info and keep credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activities under your account.
  • You must comply with applicable laws and these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

  • No abuse, scraping, or disrupting the Service or other users.
  • Monitoring targets must be owned by you or authorized.
  • No malicious, illegal, or abusive traffic generation.

4. Plans, Billing & Trial

  • Free Trial: 14-day free trial. Limits may apply to monitors and check intervals.
  • Billing: Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly basis until you cancel.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next cycle.
  • Taxes: Prices exclude applicable taxes unless stated.

5. Cancellation

You can cancel anytime in your account. Access remains until the end of the current billing period (unless a refund or credit is granted per the policy below).

6. Refund Policy

  • Trial-first: Because the Service offers a 14-day free trial, we expect you to evaluate suitability before subscribing.
  • In other word, all fees are non-refundable once charged.

7. Availability & SLA

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted Service. Monitoring depends on external networks, third-party providers, and your configuration.

8. Data & Privacy

We process account, configuration, and telemetry data to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details. You are responsible for not sending sensitive data unless required and permitted.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You remain responsible for your credentials and endpoints you monitor.

10. Intellectual Property

DowntimeLens owns all rights in the Service and content (excluding your monitored targets and data). You receive a non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service under these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations or risk to the Service. Upon termination, your license ends and we may delete data in accordance with our retention policy.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DowntimeLens will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the amount you paid in the preceding 3 months.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
